I'm Pamela Martínez Oquendo, an artist based in Omaha, Nebraska, and the creator behind these whimsical paintings of animals and flowers. Though I began my painting journey in 2021, my fascination with art has been a lifelong companion, sparked during my upbringing in the vibrant landscapes of Puerto Rico.
My Story
My background isn't the typical art school path; I actually hold a Bachelor's in Biology with a focus on wildlife and a graduate degree in Program Evaluation with a focus on science education. This scientific lens deeply informs my artistic perspective, fueling my profound appreciation for the environment and the vital importance of healthy ecosystems. Through my art, I hope to share this wonder and inspire a sense of stewardship for the natural world we all share.
